The Hampshire County Cubs Team aim to run a number of different events each year, some will be District Entry, others will be Pack Entry, and some will be aimed at Adults only, the way these work is as follows
District Entry
These events are designed for a District to enter a team, to represent their District. We encourage all districts to run their own event leading up to the County event, where they invite all Cub Packs in the District to take part, with the winning team being put forward to the County event.
Entries for these events must be made by a member with a District Role, and will not be accepted if this is not the case. Ratio of Leaders for these events must be ensured by the District
These events are there to help bolster District programme, and the County Cubs Team will provide support in how to setup and run theses events. They also allow more cubs to take part (via District events) than we could accommodate for the County level event. As there are 21 Districts within Hampshire, the templates we use for these events can easily be adapted to suit District use.
Pack Entry
These are much larger events, where individual Cub Packs can signup. These events will be held at much larger venues, and will often have assigned arrival/start times for each Pack, to allow faster sign in at the start of the event.
Ratios of Leaders must be ensured by the Group for these events
Adults Only
These events are not to be attended by Youth Members, and will, for the most part, take the form of Skills Days, Consultations, and Meetings.
3rd Party Events
We aim to promote events being organised and run by 3rd Parties. These events allow individual Packs to supplement their programme with additional ways for Cubs to take part in larger scale events.
Although we may add these events to our Upcoming Events feed, we will always link directly to the event web page, and are not part of the organisation, setup or registration processes. The Hampshire County Cubs Team, and by extension Hampshire Scouts, cannot accept any liability for issues arising at and/or due to these events. All 3rd Party events will be denoted with a * on our Upcoming Events feed.
