Scrapheap Challenge

This event is for District team entry only, we recommend running your own version of the event within your District to determine a winning team to take on the County event.

Location:Shakespeare Junior School, St Catherine’s Road, Eastleigh, SO50 4JT
Meeting place and time:Arrive from 12:45pm for a prompt 1:00pm start, at the location above.
Collection place and time:5pm

Transport details:Participants will have to make their own way to the location of this event.
Parking Arrangements:At the location there is a one-way parking system in operation. On arrival, please come through the main vehicle entrance and park up in the car park to the right. Once parked, you will then be able to walk to the meeting area using the pedestrian foot path. You will then need to exit through the appropriate vehicle exit (please find attached a map of the location showing these arrangements).
Wear / Bring:Participants will need to wear their Cub uniform and Group Necker; however, they would be welcome to bring an overall/ apron/ old shirt, in case their creation gets messy.
Further details:For this event Cubs will need to bring a maximum of 15 pieces of junk/ scrap to support with their challenge. These items could be anything that they feel could be useful; however, can not be anything sharp or glass. All items must be able to be brought and carried into the location by the Cub without support. Cubs are welcome to bring a water bottle filled with water or squash; however, there will be refreshments provided during the event. If Cubs need to bring a medication (inhalers) with them, please do and give to a member of the leadership team for safe keeping. As this is County team competition and Cub Packs can only have a certain number of members in their team; there is limited participant availability for this event.
